In this evening, which was accompanied by the performance of 14 stage shows and 8 street shows, the show “Thaqa al-Islam” directed by Amir Hijazi from Tabriz with the presence of Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili (Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance), Mahmoud Salari (Deputy Artistic Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance), Kazem Nazari (Director General of Performing Arts) and Esrafil Farajollahi (CEO of the Performing Arts Association), Atesh Taqipour (veteran artist of cinema, theater and television), Amir Hossein Gharibnejad (Deputy of Cultural Cooperation and Semans, Public Diplomacy Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Seyed Bahauddin Hosseini (Director General) cultural and artistic cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Fereydoun Jahani (Deputy of Passport and Visa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and Gholamreza Nemati (Executive Deputy of the General Department of Performing Arts) took the stage.

After watching this play, Minister of Education said that the 42nd Fajr International Theater Festival’s theatrical productions have been localized according to the traditional and historical requirements of the country.

According to him, with the rule of cultural justice, we are witnessing the emergence of good talents, and therefore, provincial groups have the opportunity to perform in the best theaters of Tehran.

Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili had previously watched the show “Trauma” directed by Ahmad Soleimani at the Vahdat Hall on the evening of Friday, the 6th of Bahman.

Descendants of Martyr Mirza Ali Agha Tabrizi known as Thagha-ul-Islam were also among the audience in Sangalaj theater.

In the continuation of the performance of the stage section, the show “Lily and Majnoon” directed by Yaqub Sediq Jamali, another work of Tabriz artists, was staged in Vahdat Hall and was well received by the audience.

“Lily and Majnoon” is one of the most famous love stories of classical literature, which Tabriz artists performed in Azeri language and accompanied by music, form and movement.

Needless to say, despite the familiarity of the narrative of this love affair, dealing with the show with translation was one of the things that most connected the audience with the work, but the show team had not paid attention to this issue for any reason.

On Sunday evening, the 8th of Bahman, other theaters were still receptive to the understanding audience who did not withhold their encouraging presence and companionship from the artists since the beginning of the 42nd Fajr Theater Festival.

On this night, the city theater once again turned a page of the enthusiastic reception of the audience in this period of the festival with the performances of “Silent, Hamlet, Silent”, “Happiness in Odessa”, “Bidakhsh Bandar” and “Zirozbar”.

In the street performances section, despite the severe cold yesterday, artists performed their works in the warm circle of fans and persistent audiences.
