Hazrat Fatima Zahra (pbuh) is the daughter of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and Khadijah Kobri (pbuh). He was born in the fifth year of Prophethood in Mecca and died in Medina in the eleventh year of Hijri.

Hazrat Zahra (PBUH) is the wife of Imam Ali (PBUH) and the mother of Imam Hassan (PBUH) and Imam Hussein (PBUH). He played an important role in raising children and accompanying his wife and always helped them in the way of guidance and perfection. Hazrat Zahra (PBUH) faced many problems and hardships throughout her life. After the death of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), they were oppressed and persecuted and eventually martyred. The martyrdom of Hazrat Zahra (pbuh) is one of the saddest events in the history of Islam. Hazrat Zahra (pbuh) has a special place among Muslims. They are known as “Syedah Nisa al-Alamin” and are always respected and revered by Muslims.

He is one of the five Al-Abba (companions of the righteous) who are considered infallible by the Shiites of the Twelve Imams. The second and third imams of Shiites, Zainab (pbuh) and Umm Kulthum are among his children. Zahra, Batul, Sayyida Nisa al-Alamin (the best woman in two worlds) are her titles and Umm Abiha (her father’s mother) is her famous nickname. Fatimah was the only woman accompanying the Prophet (PBUH) on the day of Mubahlah with the Christians of Najran.

Surah Kauthar, Verse of Purification, Verse of Maudt, and Verse of Feeding, and hadiths such as Hadith Ba’ah were revealed and narrated in honor and virtue of Fatimah. It is mentioned in the hadiths that the Prophet (PBUH) introduced Fatima (PBUH) as the best woman in the two worlds and considered her anger and pleasure as God’s anger and pleasure.

There are few reports about Fatima’s childhood and adolescence. From this period, only reports about his companionship with the Prophet (pbuh) against the violence of the polytheists, his presence in the branches of Abi Talib and his migration to Medina with Imam Ali (pbuh) have been reported.

Fatimah (pbuh) married Imam Ali (pbuh) in the second year of Hijrah. Carrying out social activities and accompanying the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) in some wars, including the conquest of Mecca, were among his activities after the Hijrah.

In the Saqifa incident, while opposing the actions of the Saqifa council, Fatima (pbuh) called Abu Bakr’s caliphate usurper and did not pledge allegiance to him. During the confiscation of Fadak and defending the caliphate of Imam Ali (a.s.), he delivered a sermon known as the Fadakiyeh sermon. Shortly after the death of the Prophet (PBUH) and during the attack of Abu Bakr’s followers on his house, he was injured, fell ill, and after a short period of time, he was martyred in Madinah on 3rd Jumadi al-Thani year 11 AH. The body of the daughter of the Prophet (PBUH) was cremated and buried secretly at night by her own order, and her grave was never identified.

Tasbihat of Hazrat Zahra (pbuh), Mushaf Fatimah, Khutbah Fadakiyyah are part of Fatimah’s spiritual heritage. Mushaf Fatimah (pbuh) is a book containing the words inspired by the divine angel and written by Imam Ali (pbuh). According to the traditions, this book was in the hands of Imams and is now in the hands of Imam Zaman (AS).

Shiites consider Fatima (PBUH) as their role model and mourn on the anniversary of her martyrdom, which is known as the Fatimiyyah Days. In Iran, the anniversary of the birth of Fatimah (pbuh) (20th Jumadi al-Thani) is named the day of women and mothers, and the names of Fatimah and Zahra are among the most common names for girls.
